SUMMARY:Storms\, Eddies and Science
DESCRIPTION:What if recent extreme weather events could be replayed in different climates? \nIn our April 2026 Storms\, Eddies and Science webinar\, EERIE Project Coordinator Thomas Jung will show how kilometre-scale climate storylines make this possible. Using a global\, high-resolution coupled model\, events such as heatwaves and flooding can be reconstructed under past\, present\, and warmer climate conditions\, revealing how climate change reshapes their intensity and impacts at the local scale. \nDeveloped within Destination Earth\, this work contributes to a new form of climate information that connects global change to real-world experiences and makes it more tangible for society. \nOur online seminars are free and no registration is needed. \nYou can watch all of them here: https://eerie-project.eu/research/science-hour
